Cristiano Ronaldo who set a new record as the only player to win best player of the season and highest goal scorer in the Italian Serie A last season, has challenged himself and vowed to win more titles for his country and club he made this known just a few hours after losing out on the Ballon d’Or to arch rival Lionel Messi on Monday Night, Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo though disappointed that he lost out on this year’s Ballon d’Or but promises he is back to winning ways.
Ronaldo also took to Instagram hours after his recent victory to thank everyone that voted for him, he also stressed that switching to the Italian league from La liga has been difficult but he’s happy and wants to be better and win more laurels in the 2020 season.
The Portuguese international scored 26 goals in his first season in Italy and has helped the Italian giants to another Serie A title victory, this feat has not been achieved by any other player in the world.
Cristiano Ronaldo was named the Italian league’s player of the year at an awards ceremony in Milan on Monday night. Ronaldo was at the Gran Gala del Calcio in Milan to collect his prize.
Ronaldo said “It’s an honor to hold this award,” Ronaldo said in Italian. “I thank my Juventus teammates. “I’m very happy to play in Italy, it’s a very difficult league. Thanks to everyone for having voted for me. I want to do as well this year, too.”
